RFID Sensor Tags are RFID tags with built in sensors for data collection including options for temperature, humidity, moisture, impact, tamper and more. The tags can be passive, semi-passive or active.
This article covers the various steps that are involved in the sensor profile available with the TagMatiks AT Lite Application in Windows. In Particular, we will look at using the Temperature / Humidity Loggers that are supported, which are the TagMatiks Temperature & Humidity RFID Logger Tags.
This document is divided into two sections as :
1. Open the TagMatiks Application and log into it.
2. Select the Settings option from the lower right corner of the screen
3. Tap on the "Sensor Profile", to create a sensor profile that can be configured for the desired purpose. Click on the on the upper right side of the screen to add a new sensor profile.
4. On the Sensor Profile page :
Screen Profile Name : Enter the name of the profile you wish to save it as.
Sensor Type : Select the type of sensor you wish to add in this profile. TagMatiks AT Lite supports 4 different types of sensor :
Sensor Unit : The measurement of the temperature can be displayed in either Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Threshold Max : Maximum range of temperature that an asset is supposed to be exposed to.
Threshold Min : Minimum range of temperature that an asset is supposed to be exposed to.
Start Delay : Enter the Start Delay as per your requirement
Estimated Time of Arrival :
RF Sensitivity : Toggle the RF sensitivity of the tag between high and low
Notifications : You can also get notification for different instances like :
1. Threshold Crossed : Whenever the temperature goes above/below the configured threshold value a notification will appear in the TagMatiks AT Lite Application notifying the user.
2. Estimated Time of Arrival :
3. Low Battery : When the inbuilt battery of the sensor will get low a notification will appear in the application.
You can also configure the Email id on which you will receive the tag alarm notifications.
Configurations
The user can define up to 16 temperature ranges with independent threshold alarms for a very accurate control of the temperature excursions.
Low Limit & High Limit can be set
Sampling Interval : It is the time interval after which the sensor takes the sample.
Note : Sampling Interval Should Always Be Divisible By 5
5. Tap on Add Configuration to save the changes.
6. Save all the changes you have made in the profile and click on save.
7. The newly configured sensor profile will appear in the sensor profile list as shown in the image below.
1. Tap on the Assets option on the TagMatiks Dashboard.
2. Click on icon to create the asset.
3. Fill in all the details like part number, Serial Number, Tag ID . Tap on the sensor profile to select the sensor profile which was created in the previous section of the article.
4. To start the temperature logger , press the Start button. The reader will start configuring the temperature logger as shown in the image below.
5. Tap on assign tag to assign the tag with the asset to be created.
6. Finally click on Create Asset to create the asset with the temperature logger.
