Troubleshooting the RFID Device - ATID X6 Reader

 
Summary

This section contains setup information for using ATID X6 Reader with the TagMatiks AT Lite Application

The Possible Issues are

  • ATID X6 Device is not configured with the region.
  • ATID X6 Bluetooth is not turning on.
  • ATID X6 Device is already connected with other applications.
  • RFID Tags are not getting in TagMatiks AT Lite Application.
A. ATID X6 Reader is Not Configured with Region

If the Region is not configured with the Reader, we need to configure the reader for scanning the tags using the ATID X6 Reader in our Application.

By following the below steps, we can configure the region for the ATID X6 using TagMatiks AT Lite.

1. Open the TagMatiks AT Lite Application and login onto it.

2. On the Home Page, click on the Settings Icon (at the bottom right side of screen); as shown below image.

3. Click Manage Reader option to see the list of readers.

4. Select the ATID X6 Devices name from the reader list page and it navigates to the Reader Settings Page.

5. Click Configure Region from the Reader Settings Menu

6. Select Region from their list and Set the Frequency and then click back to save the reader region.

7. Once the Region is configured, the reader automatically connects to the Application.

ATID X6 Device is also automatically connected with the TagMatiks AT Lite Application after we open the Application

B. ATID X6 Bluetooth is Not Turned ON.

If the Bluetooth is turned off, ATID X6 Reader will not connect with the application. So we need to Turn On the bluetooth in device settings. After Turning On the Bluetooth in Device settings and opening the application, Reader should automatically connect with TagMatiks AT Lite. We can find the Reader Connection status by following the below steps.

1. Open TagMatiks AT Lite and login onto it.

2. On the Home Page, click on the Settings Icon (at the bottom right side of screen); as shown below image.

3. Click Manage Readers to view the Reader Connection status.

4. We can view the Reader status as shown in the below image.

C. ATID X6 is already connected with another application.

If the Reader is already connected with another application, the system does not allow to pair the reader with our TagMatiks AT Lite Application. We need to close or terminate the connected application.

Open TagMatiks AT Lite application and login into it after disconnecting the reader from other applications, the reader should automatically connect with the application.

D. RFID Tags are not getting read in TagMatiks AT Lite

In TagMatiks AT Lite, first ensure the configuration settings are in sync with the RFID tags.

1. Please click on the Settings Tab and then click on the “Configurations” under “Admin Settings”

2. Please click on “Asset Configuration”.

3. A new window will open, where you can see tabs for Tagging Options, EPC Data and Other Memory Banks as shown below:

4. To modify the behavior of associating RFID tags to assets; please read the article named:"Configured Overview"

5. Once the tag format configuration is properly saved; go to the “Home” page.

6. Press the “Inventory” button - on the bottom left-hand side of the application.

7. Then a new window will open, named: “Inventory.”

8. For taking the inventory, click on a location. For example, the location is selected is “CBE1”

9. Press the trigger button on the ATID X6 device; TagMatiks AT Lite application will start reading the RFID tags. Please refer below image:

10. Once the “Scan” button is pressed; then the “RFID” LED starts flashing.

11. This means the ATID X6 reader is in polling state and reading the tags. Same can be seen in the application window. Refer above image.

12. Once you press the trigger button for “Stop”; ATID X6 reader will stop reading the tags.

13. To check the scanned items, tap on the Matched Asset(s), read tags will populate on the application window, as shown in below image.
