Setting up Your RFID Device - Zebra RFD40

Summary

This section contains setup information for using the Zebra RFD40 sled RFID reader with TagMatiks AT Lite.

Pre-requisites

• You must have a charged Zebra RFD40 RFID reader. The Premium or Premium Plus version must be used as it has Bluetooth.
• You must have a charged Windows device.
• TagMatiks AT Lite application must be installed on your Windows device.

Please follow the steps below to pair your RFD40 reader:

Zebra RFD40 can easily be turned ON by pressing the trigger. The connection Status LED will become blinking blue in color as an indication of the reader being awake and ready to connect.

Pairing the RFD40 to Windows Device

1. You’ll need to pair the reader to your Windows Device using the device’s Bluetooth pairing process before using it with TagMatiks AT Lite.

2. From the Start option open "Settings" and select "Bluetooth & Devices" as shown in the image below.

3. Click on "Add Device".

4. Click on "Bluetooth".

5. Select "RFD40+_ 22055520100870" from the list of visible devices.

6. Click on Done after the successful connection with the reader.

7. Open TagMatiks AT Lite Application and log into it using the credentials.

8. Select the "Reader" from the given options to connect the reader with the application.

9. Select Zebra from the Device dropdown option and in the Unit option select "RFD40+ 22055520100870". Click on "Save" and then on Connect Button to make a successful connection between the application and the reader.

10. Reader details will appear with the Firmware version as shown in image below.
